The former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals, who bumped up the price of a life-saving HIV drug by 4,000 per cent, Martin Shkreli’s Twitter has been hacked.
Shkreli resigned on Friday from Turning Pharmaceuticals following pleading not guilty to seven counts of securities fraud with a maximum of 20 years in prison. Last week the FBI arrested Shkreli at his Manhattan home on charges that he duped investors in his former hedge fund, MSMB Capital Management.
It has also been revealed that Shkreli was the unidentified buyer of the sole copy of an unreleased Wu-Tang Clan album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin for US$2 million.
His Twitter has been changed to “Martin The God” and whoever has hacked his account has been tweeting some crazy things. UPDATE: Shkreli has since taken back his Twitter account, he has deleted all the tweets and sent this to his “loyal” fans:
I was hacked–I now have control of this account. — @MartinShkreli
