Through the application of cutting-edge technology, the exclusively developed Musical Store Directory app reimagines the traditional store guide model and marries this with the emotionally-driven and universal experience of music.
Using the app, customers will be able to browse The Galeries’ retailer offering based on their musical genre of choice, or their current mood.
This input is then reflected through a re-active playlist that will only be audible to the app-user via audio spotlight technology that gives each user a totally private and personalised experience.
Modelled on the current trend for mood music, the app draws on an extensive playlist of tracks expertly curated by FBi Radio station’s general manager of music, Dan Zilber, that link each store with its musical equivalent.
“With music coming at us from a million different angles, it’s increasingly difficult to filter through the bulk and find the songs we’re most interested in at any one point in time. The Galeries have been really innovative by combining human curation with clever technology to deliver a playlist that compliments the user’s mood and utilises music to connect them emotionally to their experience at one of Sydney’s best retail spots,” Zilber said.
Shoppers will also have the chance to win The Ultimate Music Marathon. For every $100 or more spent in-centre, customers will go into the draw to win tickets to some of the hottest international acts performing in Sydney this July, including sold-out shows for London Grammar, The 1975, GROUPLOVE, Ben Howard and Asgeir.
The Galeries will also giveaway three-months of Spotify Premium to 100 lucky winners.
