Network 10 was the big improver last night after part one of its MasterChef grand final (part two’s tonight) and the venerable Have You Been Paying Attention? both pulled reasonably stout numbers.
MasterChef had 742,000 and Have You? did 668,000 according to OzTAM metro numbers.
That said, neither really dented Ninja Warriors’ viewership, it was again the most watched entertainment show of the night with 942,000.
On the back of Ninja, Nine snuck home for a Monday night win with 29.2 per cent of the audience share (all channels). Seven did 27.3 per cent, 10 grabbed 20.7 per cent, the ABC pulled 16.6 per cent and SBS did 6.3 per cent.
The ABC’s Back Roads continues to be a surprise winner for Aunty, it managed 645,000. Other standouts fo the broadcaster were its 7pm news (647,000), 7.30 (593,000), Four Corners (509,000), Media Watch (503,000) and Q&A (352,000).
Seven’s best was its 6pm news (1.122 million), followed by Home And Away (678,000), House Rules (644,000), The Chase (627,000) and S.W.A.T. (370,000).
In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (262,000) beat Today (205,000).
Nine’s best was its 6pm news (942,000), ACA (830,000), Hot Seat (542,000) and Murder, Lies & Alibis (442,000).
For SBS, the Spending Secrets Of The Royals did the business, pulling 173,000.
