Australian Story’s posthumous tribute to Rory O’Donoghue of 70s comedy Aunty Jack fame proved the standout from last night’s TV numbers.
The episode was the sixth most-watched show of the evening, pulling an impressive 752,000 for the public broadcaster.
Nine won Monday with 30 per cent of all of last night’s eyeballs (all channels). Seven did 24.1 per cent, 10 had 19 per cent with the ABC hot on its heels, it posted 18.9 per cent. That left SBS with 7.9 per cent.
The Block was again the most-watched entertainment show of the night, pulling 939,000 according to OzTAM metro numbers.
Seven’s 6pm news (1.095 million) was the most-watched show of the night, beating rival Nine’s bulletin (959,000). ACA posted 759,000.
Seven also did well with The Chase (574,000) and Home And Away (564,000).
Nine’s Hot Seat had 446,000 and RBT could only muster 396,000.
Over at 10, Have You Been Paying Attention? posted 599,000, The Project pulled 508,000 and 10 News First did 343,000.
Australian Story aside, other standouts for the ABC included its 7pm news (695,000), 7.30 (636,000), Four Corners (578,000) and Media Watch (481,000).
