Monday TV Wrap: Have You Been Paying Attention? Wins The Night In Entertainment, As News Reigns

It appears news and current affairs was the Australian collective’s choice of content last night, with news dominating the top four most-watched programs.

Seven News won the night with 969,000 viewers according to OzTAM metro numbers, with Nine’s 6pm news bulletin enjoying a tidy 842,000 eyeballs.

In terms of entertainment content, 10’s Have You Been Paying Attention? pipped the night with 825,000 views. It was also the most-watched in all three of the key advertising demographics: 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Seven narrowly beat Nine for the night with 26.9 per cent and 26.1 per cent audience share, respectively. 10 followed with 21.0 per cent, while the ABC enjoyed 19.6 per cent and SBS hit 6.4 per cent.

Over at Nine, A Current Affair did a nice 715,000, while RBT pulled 548,000 and a repeat of Paramedics saw 388,000 people tune in.

Seven’s Home and Away did well (608,000), The Chase Australia followed (522,000) while Zumbo’s Just Desserts struggled slightly (393,000).

Following behind 10’s HYBPA (825,000), The Amazing Race Australia saw 616,000 people tune in (and took second place in all three demos) while The Project enjoyed 497,000 eyeballs.
