MINI Australia has announced ARIA chart-topping artist Meg Mac as its newest ‘Friend of MINI’ (aka brand ambassador) aligning with the launch of its innovative ‘Next Generation’ MINI Cooper, now available in Electric and Petrol.
A long-time MINI enthusiast, Meg Mac’s powerful artistic vision and commitment to authenticity will perfectly align with the MINI Cooper’s ethos, highlighting MINI’s beloved charm; ‘Charismatic Simplicity’ design language – design features which highlight the model’s individual character; and steadfast commitment to sustainability.
The MINI Cooper is iconic to MINI’s heritage, moulding the brand’s traditional values with state-of-the-art technology, sustainability and an enhanced driver experience. Focused on celebrating individuality, Meg Mac will showcase her experiences with the MINI Cooper by curating dedicated social and digital content to profile her connection with the brand and its sincere significance to her own lifestyle.
“Ever since I was a kid I haven’t been able to go for a drive without pointing out every MINI I see on the road, I’ve always been charmed by their classic design. To be joining this iconic brand and in the driver’s seat feels perfect,” said Mac.
The reimagined MINI Cooper exemplifies the brand’s evolution, featuring:
- Advanced sustainability initiatives – all MINI vehicles are 100% leather-free and chrome-free, with interior surfaces made from recycled polyester, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 85%
- Seven ‘Experience’ modes offer customised sounds, lights, and digital visuals, projected throughout the cabin to set the ambience for the drive ahead
- MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant that learns and adapts to driver preferences
- Enhanced digital features through the circular OLED display, a nod to the classic MINI
Recently supporting Sam Smith and Teddy Swims in Australia, Meg will release her latest single ‘Home’ on 8 November – a captivating cover of the Good Neighbours’ original, featuring vocals from her sister, Hannah. The version blends soulful vocals and a modern edge with a nostalgic vibe, which is a testament to the power of family and the magic of shared artistry.
“Meg Mac’s artistic integrity and deep-rooted values align perfectly with the MINI Cooper’s strong legacy. We are excited to call Meg a ‘Friend of MINI’ and bring the MINI’s Next Generation range to life through her experiences,” said Nikesh Gohil, MINI’s head of marketing for Australia and New Zealand.
Meg Mac joins interior design expert Neale Whitaker as MINI Australia’s second ‘Friend of MINI’, with Whitaker focusing on the all-new MINI Countryman.
