Technology giant Microsoft has launched plans for a massive marketing push to its latest Windows update, Windows 10.
The push calls on users to #UpgradeYourWorld, a year-long initiative celebrating all those who inspire and power others.
The campaign will be rolled out with TV and digital ads to highlight Windows 10 and how it delivers a more human aspect.

As part of the campaign, Microsoft has announced it has partnered with 10 global and 100 local not-for-profits to help them upgrade their world with $US10 million used to promote awareness of the causes.
“In addition to these global nonprofits, starting in September, we’ll crowdsource nominations for 10 nonprofits in each of the following 10 countries: Australia, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States,” added Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s senior vice president, in a company blog post.
“The 100 local winners will each receive a cash investment to support their work to upgrade the world.
“Around the world, tens of thousands of Microsoft employees will participate in the Upgrade Your World initiative by taking a day off to volunteer to upgrade their community, many of them on July 29, in celebration of the Windows 10 launch.”
The update will be available from July 29.
