Mi9’s Matt James has moved across to Nine Entertainment Co’s creative services division, Powered, as group director.

James, managing director of Mi9, will report to Nine Entertainment’s group sales and marketing director, Peter Wiltshire.

Replacing James at Mi9 Sales is Emma-Jayne Owens.

“As the demand for the expertise of our powered team continues to increase, we have recognised the need to grow our investment and resources within this vital team,” Wiltshire said.

“We are delighted to welcome Matt James in the newly created role of Group Director of Powered, leading the powered team and delivering integrated client solutions across TV, digital and all Nine Entertainment Co. assets. Transitioning from his current role as Managing Director, Mi9 Media, Matt has an incredible media pedigree and this expanded, group-wide role allows Nine Entertainment Co. to benefit more broadly from his skills.”

Powered also now has a new full in-house production service to sit alongside its strategic and creative arms.

Michael Branagh, director of creative solutions, will take responsibility across of the expanded services, reporting directly to James.

“Powered has delivered exceptional creative solutions since its inception. I am delighted to be leading the powered offering and, together with Michael Branagh, delivering an even more robust market-leading, and strategically focused, proposition for clients,” James said.
