James Sneddon, Sydney managing director of GroupM agency MediaCom, is set to leave his position to pursue other opportunities.

The media agency released a statement to media Tuesday afternoon of Sneddon’s departure.

Sean Seamer, newly minted CEO of MediaCom with some choice words for creative agencies, will oversee the Sydney operations as well as the national ones for the time being. New national managing director of client service, Nicole Boyd, will also help Seamer with the operations, along with others in the national leadership team.

Boyd will also work alongside Sneddon’s replacement once found.

“I’d like to thank James for his commitment to our people and clients during his years at MediaCom and particularly for his steady hand and commitment over the past 12 months,” said Seamer in a statement.

Sneddon will leave the agency on June 21. He will complete a handover of his duties until that time.
