MediaCom has today announced the appointment of Sophie Price and Prajat Khare to the roles of chief strategy officer and managing director Data Led Planning & Systems Intelligence respectively.

Price, one of Australia’s most experienced and awarded strategists has been appointed as chief strategy officer. Prior to MediaCom, Price spent four years at M&C Saatchi and Bohemia as their head of integrated strategy. A respected and renowned strategist within the industry, Price is the only individual in this country to have led strategy in both a creative agency and media agency, including UM Australia.

Price’s unique brand and connection planning capabilities, combined with strong creative relationships, has resulted in some of Australia’s most famous and effective campaigns in recent years. As part of her new remit, Price will offer high end, ‘up-stream’ strategic thinking to clients, focused on driving the reputation and development of MediaCom’s product.

Price said of her appointment: “I’m truly excited by the opportunity to marry my skills in integrated strategy and creativity with the might of MediaCom’s data planning and technology capabilities, led by Prajat. This will be a powerful combination to accelerate our clients’ growth.”

Prajat Khare will join MediaCom as its first ever managing director, data led planning and systems intelligence.

A long-term MediaCom network talent, Khare has relocated from Tokyo, Japan, where he held the role of global account director on a leading global skincare brand SK-II, running a team across twelve countries and four continents. Khare will now be responsible for E2E product transformation powered by data, analytics and systems intelligence.

MediaCom’s focus sits firmly within evidence-based planning that translates to real business outcomes. As such, Khare will lead a team which will provide data and insights expertise to power E2E consumer journey maximization, content performance and wider business planning, enabling the agency to add rigour and consistency across the E2E and for all clients.

Khare commented: “In my decade long career with the MediaCom network, I’ve had opportunities to work across the value chain of our business, on different marque brands, in different countries and continents. I’ve embraced an always-on learning curve, and I’m really looking forward to continuing it in Australia. A worldview, a new perspective, subject matter expertise and a staunch belief in collaboration, cocreation & problem solving, these all form part of what I will bring along with me, only adding to the awesomeness that already exists in the MediaCom Australia team! I’m confident that we will uncover a newer and bigger picture for our clients.”

Yaron Farizon, CEO MediaCom AUNZ added, “In Sophie & Prajat, we have found world class talent that will add so much value and growth to our clients’ businesses. I am thrilled to announce this news as their appointments are reflective of our mission to further accelerate our planning and analytics product, and to both enhance our thought leadership and strategic capabilities.

“I have no doubt that having Sophie & Prajat join our team will only boost our planning, strategy, and data capabilities, to ensure our product is smart, fully integrated and future-proof. This is paramount for us, and I am excited to see what the future holds.”
