YouTube Vet Partners With Aussie blog Stay At Home Mum

Boom Video, Australia and New Zealand’s YouTube partner network, has announced a new partnership between celebrity vet Dr. Katrina Warren’s online pet channel and one of Australia’s largest mummy blogs, Stay At Home Mum (SAHM).

The deal, a first for Dr. Katrina’s channel, will see her as the blog’s Pet Expert, providing content for the site, commencing from today.

The pet channel, www.youtube.com/drkatrina, is about Dr. Katrina sharing her extensive knowledge and understanding of animals for the 63% of Australian households that own pets[1]. It is the first original Australian online channel to be produced by Boom Video, Australia’s leading online influencer network.

SAHM will showcase a variety of content including an exclusive video series from Dr. Katrina about pet tips for families, produced specially to cater to the blog’s audience. They will also run existing videos from Dr. Katrina’s YouTube channel.

Dr. Katrina, a mum herself, said she is thrilled to partner with such a great blog and be able to provide more information combining both her passions of kids and pets.

“I love being able to deliver my messages through video content on YouTube, it’s a great way to share knowledge and reach out to fans,” she said. “We’ve been really pleased with how the channel is tracking so far and it’s great to be able to strengthen it by partnering with Stay At Home Mum. Their audience is a perfect fit for me, so many families want to get pets when their kids are little – pets enrich children’s lives in many ways – but it can be a lot to manage, so I have some helpful advice to share.”

Jody Allen, founder of SAHM, said: “I am more than excited to announce our partnership with Dr. Katrina Warren, resident veterinarian on The Today Show. I am confident that having Dr. Katrina on hand to provide expert advice on pet care will benefit the entire Sahm community! After all, our pets are part of the family too and most of the team here at Sahm are devoted parents to both our kids and our animals.”

Spiro Pissas, Commercial Director for Boom, who assist Dr. Katrina in the creation, production and content sharing for the channel, said the partnership is a win-win for both sites.

“The partnership will see Stay At Home Mum receive some great and relevant content for their audience and at the same time allows Dr. Katrina to tap into an existing community and further get her messages out. These kind of arrangements can really help boost the engagement and traffic of YouTube channels,” he said.
