When Animals Attack! Why The Beasts Have No Respect For Celebs Or Sports Stars!

The footage of Aussie surfer Mick Fanning getting attacked by a shark made everyone in the B&T office pee their pants a little, so to celebrate our nightmares here are the times animals have showed no respect to humans.

The footage from a surfing competition that saw Aussie legend Mick Fanning attacked by a shark has spread through the web like wildfire.

Fanning, thankfully and luckily unhurt from the attack, was one of the final two surfers during the J-Bay Open event held in South Africa. The horrifying footage was captured on live TV.

Fanning said he punched the shark in the back in order to get away.

Siegfriend and Roy

Siegfried and Roy were animal tamers who did a show in Las Vegas involving the white tiger. Mostly the tiger played along, until 2004 when a new tiger attacked Roy’s face. The white tiger lunged at Roy’s neck about half-way through the show, and dragged him off stage.

After many surgeries, they managed to reattach Roy’s face and the tiger was not euthanised. Reportedly, on the way to the hospital to get his face fixed, Roy pleaded to save the cat.

Morrissey

Morrissey was left with a fractured index finger after being attacked by a dog in 2011. According to online blog True to You. “Morrissey has attended hospital in Malmo (Sweden) where x-rays reveal a fractured index finger on his right hand. The cracked bone is at the tip of the finger. The injury will not affect upcoming shows.”

Morrissey (probably) wrote a sad, emotional song about the experience. Heaven knows he’s miserable now.

Gordon Ramsay

A puffin in Iceland took a chunk out of Gordon Ramsay’s nose causing him to need three stitches. Ramsay was hunting the bird for an episode of his show The F Word, when the angry little biter got his revenge. The 45-year-old was allegedly so embarrassed he told people one of his kids had punched him.

Susan Sarandon

Despite doing a PSA for dolphin conservation, Susan Sarandon was attacked by a female dolphin who was jealous of Sarandon’s interaction with a male dolphin. The jealous dolphin took a huge chunk out of her wrist. Sarandon said the dolphin “tower[ed] over me on its rear fins. She seemed to be 12 feet tall, emitting this loud, high-pitched noise. The attendants were screaming, ‘We’ve got to get you out!’ I was afraid I was going to get my other arm broken”.
