Wednesday TV Wrap: Sunrise Opens Up Handy 110,000 Gap On Struggling Today

A fairly typical evening of telly viewing last night with MAFS again dominating and everyone else caught-up in its wake.

However, a more eagle-eyed perusal of the numbers show Sunrise opening up a significant lead over arch-rival Today.

Seven’s brekkie show pulled 298,000 yesterday according to OzTAM metro numbers, a significant gap on the Nine’s struggling variant that pulled just 187,000.

In easy point form, the rest of yesterday’s numbers ran this way:

MAFS (1.374 million) flogged MKR (732,000).
• Seven’s Front Bar continues to do well, pulling 375,000
• Oddly, a repeat of 10’s Bondi Rescue (321,000) beat an original of Bondi Rescue (316,000)
• Nine won the night with 34.8 per cent share, Seven had 27.7 per cent, the ABC pulled 16.1 per cent, 10 had 14 per cent and SBS managed 7.5 per cent
• Seven’s 6pm news (879,000) saw off Nine’s (841,000) and ACA had 766,000
• 10’s other two notables were The Project (397,000) and 10 News First (386,000)
• The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (694,000), Hard Quiz (657,000), 7.30 (594,000) and The Weekly With Charlie Pickering (535,000)
• SBS’ best was Australia In Colour that pulled a rather monochrome 304,000
