Wednesday TV Wrap: The Chase Places Seven In Number One Spot

Seven’s The Chase Australia pulled phenomenal numbers, solidifying the game show staple as the most watched entertainment show for Wednesday.

Andrew O’Keefe’s Trivia show reached a nice 659,000 last night according to OzTAM metro numbers.

Nine was knocked from the first place position with Seven pulling the audience share win for the night with 26.9 per cent. Nine was second with 25.4 per cent, 10 posted an impressive 22.4 per cent, the ABC had 18.3 per cent and SBS pulled 7.1 per cent.

ABC’s highlight for the night was Anh’s Brush With Fame, posting 681,000 (a huge jump from last week’s 544,000).

Meanwhile Seven’s The Super Switch (335,000) continued to balk, while Nine’s Talkin’ About Your Generation (485,000) didn’t fare much better.

The highlights for 10 included Masterchef with an impressive 713,000 followed by The Project (487,000), Five Bedrooms (437,000) and 10 News First (393,000).

Seven’s other notables was its 6pm news (1.077 million), followed by Home And Away (654,000),  and The Front Bar (405,000)

Over at Nine, its 6pm news did 908,000, ACA had 763,000 and Hot Seat pulled 524,000.

The ABC’s 7pm news (673,000), 7.30 (632,000) and The Weekly With Charlie Pickering (583,000) were Aunty’s other notables.
