Shane Warne: I’m NOT The New Bachelor!

Shane Warne: I’m NOT The New Bachelor!

Could it be that New Idea could possibly get its facts wrong? Make stuff up even?

Well, yesterday media circles (including B&T) were in a tizz over reports in the weekly gossip magazine that none other than cricket bad boy and renowned lady’s man, Shane Warne, was being touted as the next bachelor on Ten’s hit dating show of the same name.

Sadly, for those wanting to see the 48-year old in a spa with three busty single ladies, the reports now appear untrue.

Yesterday, Warne took to Twitter to claim the story is “completely made up” and added the rumours had been “hurtful to his children”.

According to the initial New Idea report – again using quotes from “unnamed” sources – Ten chiefs were prepared to pay Warne, a divorced father of three, a whopping $1 million to appear on the show.

The source said negotiations were well underway and the parties were “ironing out the finer details” of the contract.

It’s not as unfeasible as it sounds, after all, Warne appeared in Ten’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here in 2016 and you would assume still has some rapport with power-brokers at Ten. He also initially denied his appearance on that show, too.
