Vibes On A Summer’s Day Hooks Frank PR For Publicity And Sponsorship

Music event Vibes on Summer’s Day is returning to Bondi Pavilion on January 24th 2016. Running for ten years between 1994 and 2003, the Sydney 2016 reboot is designed to bring together traditional Vibers and a whole new generation of discerning music lovers.

Vibes promoter Joe Conneely has brought Frank PR on board to lead the publicity drive and aid the search for event sponsors.

Commenting on the collaboration with the Sydney arm of the London-HQ’d PR agency, Conneely said: “Frank PR has a reputation for authenticity and edginess, which is what Vibes is all about. It was a natural fit and we’re chuffed to have them working with us on putting the word out.

“We were also looking for a partner with an international presence, as we have great ambitions for Vibes. We branched out to the other capital cities back in the early 2000s and this time around we are looking to take that a step further by going global in due course.”

Vibes organisers are keen to tap into the positive sentiment still felt by past attendees, whilst engaging a younger crowd with the event’s commitment to offering first class eclectic live acts and DJs, broadly influenced by the dance and electronic music genres.

The first wave of acts will be announced on October 30th, with subsequent announcements made in the lead up to January’s event, but with the Norman Jay, Gilles Peterson, Propellerheads, Rae & Christian and St. Germain having all enjoyed billing at previous Vibes events, organisers guarantee that fans of great music will not be disappointed.

“People don’t come to Vibes because of any one act,” said Conneely, “but rather to revel in the shared experience, or vibe, all set to a backdrop of beautiful soulful dance music.

“Despite our impressive backstory, Vibes 2016 won’t be a celebration of all things retro. It’s a celebration of classic music taste; timeless acts and performances that transcend age and musical fads.”
