Twitter Gears Up For Its First Global Video Relay

All eyes will be on some of Australia’s best social creators tomorrow when Twitter launches its very first global video relay, #EveryCharacterMatters.

#EveryCharacterMatters is a celebration of how creators are sharing great content every day, using Twitter creatively, and inspiring creativity and self-expression among others.

By following the #EveryCharacterMatters Twitter relay, users will be able to take a virtual world tour with some of the most creative people on the planet to #SeeEverySide. For the creators, #EveryCharacterMatters will introduce them to completely new audiences.

Creators from around the world — from Sydney to Tokyo, Singapore, Jakarta, Mumbai, London, Sao Paulo, Toronto and San Francisco — will join fans on Twitter for a day full of performances, live Q&As and videos.

Each creator will broadcast content created especially for #EveryCharacterMatters, sharing everything from new lyrics to gaming sessions (and cute baby animals). When their session ends, they will tag the next creative to pick up where they left off.

Homegrown pop star Tom Jay Williams (@tomjaywilliams) will kick off the global #EveryCharacterMatters tour atop the Sydney Harbour Bridge from 12pm (AEST) on Thursday 10 August.

The Aussie #EveryCharacterMatters talent line-up also includes:

  • Alli Simpson (@allisimpson)
  • Dan Moore (@danandmoore)
  • Mr Muselk (@mrmuselk)
  • Tyde Levi (@tydelevi)
  • Marcelo (@marceloDLV)
  • Isaiah Firebrace (@isaiahofficial)
  • Jai Waetford (@jaiwaetford)

To help add a little colour to tweets about the creator video relay, Twitter is also introducing a new emoji, which will be automatically added when people use the hashtag #EveryCharacterMatters.
