TV Reporter’s Ninja-Like Reflexes Praised As She Masterfully Blocks A Man Entering Her Shot

A US TV anchor has been praised online for effortlessly blocking a man from stepping into her piece-to-camera.

WABC Channel 7 in New York reporter Darla Miles was at Port Authority Bus Terminal reporting on an overturned truck that had created gridlock around the Lincoln Tunnel.

While Miles was discussing the crash and how it would impact rush hour traffic, a man unwittingly started to walk between her and the camera.

In true ninja style, Miles puts out her arm to block the man while seamlessly finishing her report.

Eyewitness News tweeted a clip of the scene lauding the reporter, while WABC co-anchor Bill Ritter praised his colleague in his own tweet.

He wrote: “The job of reporters is to get the story, and, no matter what is happening that would distract most people, keep focused. @DarlaMiles7 did that perfectly yesterday during that hours-long commuter nightmare.”

The reporter has received plenty of praise online for “ninja-like reflexes” and “expert” skills, with one person commenting, “now, the NY Giants want to recruit her.”

One man commented, “they don’t teach that in journalism school,” to which Miles responded, “No they did not! It just comes from 10yrs of reporting in NYC!”
