Tuesday TV Wrap: Comms Games First, Daylight Second, SBS Nowhere

It’s basically been a repeat of the past seven days when it comes to TV viewer numbers, with the Commonwealth Games yet again dominating Australian TV screens.

Last night’s action from the Gold Coast pulled 1.48 million eyeballs at its peak and gave Channel Seven yet another easy win with 42.1 per cent of the audience share. Nine took silver with 24.6 per cent, Ten snared bronze with 15.2 per cent, while the ABC (13.3 per cent) and SBS (with a particularly dismal 4.7 per cent) filled the minor placings.

Nine’s night went thus: Nine News (971,000), A Current Affair (749,000), Young Sheldon (745,000), The Big Bang Theory (620,000), Hot Seat (573,000) and a re-run of the James Bond flick Skyfall (365,000).

For Ten, its best was Bachelor In Paradise with 676,000 followed by The Project with 488,000. Hughesy, We Have a Problem continues to disappoint, managing just 438,000.

Over at the ABC, its evening went like this: ABC News (633,000), 7:30 (473,000), The Checkout (419,000), Employable Me (400,000), Louis Theroux: Saville (257,000) and Think Tank (190,000). The SBS’ best was Insight that could still only rummage-up a rather weak 160,000.
