Tuesday TV Wrap: ‘Take Me Out’ Tumbles, ‘Ambulance Australia’ Has Promising Debut

Seven’s troubled dating show Take Me Out continues to struggle to find much viewer love, posting a worrying 407,000 last night and now down 33 per cent since launch.

It was better news for Ten’s Ambulance Australia that debuted to a promising 582,000 and was the network’s best performer.

Nine won the battle for Tuesday night honours, the network taking home 31 per cent of last night’s eyeballs. Seven had to settle for 27.9 per cent, Ten had 17.1 per cent, the ABC landed 15.5 per cent and SBS had 8.5 per cent.

Once again, The Block did the business for Nine. It was the most watched show of the evening with 1.017 million viewers.

Nine’s other highlights included its 6pm news (915,000), ACA (759,000), the returning Big Bang Theory (712,000) and Hot Seat (492,000).

For Seven, its 6pm news was its best with 964,000, followed by Today Tonight (907,000), The Good Doctor (634,000), Home And Away (597,000), The Chase (559,000) and Take Me Out (407,000).

Ambulance Australia aside, Ten’s other highlights were The Project (498,000) and FBI (362,000).

The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (720,000), 7.30 (576,000), Ask The Doctor (407,000) and Fighting Spirit: Wheeling Diggers’ Invictus Games Dream (275,000).

Over at the SBS, its best was Michael Portillo’s Abandoned Britain (299,000).
