Wednesday TV Wrap: Seven Wins The Night By Not Doing Much At All

Seven’s 6pm news, Home And Away and The Chase were enough to get the broadcaster to a Wednesday night win.

Seven had 28.1 per cent of the evening’s eyeballs according to OzTAM numbers. Nine was second with 25.9 per cent, 10 stole third and 20.1 per cent, the ABC had 19.2 per cent and SBS did 6.6 per cent.

In the battle of the entertainment shows, MasterChef (634,000) saw of House Rules (573,000) and Nine’s Talkin’ About Your Generation (545,000).

The ABC’s Anh’s Brush With Fame did well with 626,000.

Other highlights for Seven were its 6pm news (1.081 million), Home And Away (671,000), The Chase (627,000) and The Bay (360,000).

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (266,000) beat Today (185,000).

10’s highlights were The Project (450,000), Five Bedrooms (428,000) and 10 News First (371,000).

Over at Nine, its best was its 6pm news (955,000), followed by ACA (738,000) and Hot Seat (550,000).

The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (715,000), 7.30 (616,000), The Weekly With Charlie Pickering (573,000) and You Can’t Ask That (410,000).

SBS’s best was 24 Hours In Emergency that pulled 186,000.
