It may have announced a $444 million loss in yesterday’s end-of-year financials, but new Seven chief James Warburton can console himself with a Tuesday night audience win last night.
Seven snuck home with 28.4 per cent of all of last night’s eyeballs (all channels). Nine did 27.8 per cent, 10 had 20.7 per cent, the ABC had 15.1 per cent and SBS had a neat eight.
In the battle of the entertainment shows, The Block had 852,000 according to OzTAM metro numbers. Survivor was impressive with 793,000, while Nine’s SeaChange (557,000) just pipped Seven’s Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly (519,000).
Seven’s 6pm news was the most watched show of the night with 1.051 million. Nine’s news had 809,000 and ACA did 759,000.
Home And Away did 687,000 for Seven, The Chase posted 608,000 and the movie Kingsman: The Golden Mile had 353,000.
Other standouts for 10 included The Project (502,000) and 10 News First (405,000).
The ABC’s evening ran thus: 7pm news (585,000), 7.30 (489,000), Foreign Correspondent (404,000) and Catalyst (339,000).
