Tuesday TV Wrap: Nine’s SeaChange Reboot Proves A Winner

It may not have graced our screens in almost two decades but its clear viewers still have fond memories of Aussie comedy-drama SeaChange.

Nine’s decision to reboot the series with many of the original cast appears to be a shrewd move with 787,000 viewers tuning in according to OzTAM metro numbers.

On the back of The Block (876,000), Nine won Tuesday with 30.2 per cent audience share (all channels). Seven took second and 26.1 per cent, 10 had 19.7 per cent, the ABC did 15.7 per cent and SBS enjoyed 8.3 per cent.

Other standouts for Nine included its 6pm news (935,000), ACA (726,000) and Hot Seat (508,000).

Seven’s 6pm news was the most watched show of the night with 1.029 million viewers. Other highlights for the broadcaster included Home And Away (660,000), The Chase (591,000), Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly (558,000) and Andrew Denton: Interview (414,000).

10’s Survivor got a kick along to 723,000, while The Project had 530,000 and 10 News First pulled 412,000.

The ABC’s evening ran thus: 7pm news (691,000), 7.30 (548,000), Foreign Correspondent (424,000) and Waltzing the Dragon With Benjamin Law (327,000).
