Tuesday TV Wrap: MasterChef Delivers, As Denton’s Interview Struggles

Ten’s MasterChef was the most watched non-news show last night, pulling 877,000 on a relatively quiet night of TV.

Probably the biggest news of the night was Andrew Denton’s struggling Interview over at Seven that managed 467,000 and is now down 22 per cent from its launch episode.

Seven’s other big gun, House Rules, had another off night, managing only 657,000.

Despite the sluggish shows, Seven still won the night with 27.9 per cent audience share, while Nine wasn’t far behind with 25.6 per cent. Ten did well with 22.4 per cent, the ABC pulled 16.7 per cent and the SBS had 7.4 per cent.

Seven’s 6pm news bulletin was the most watched show of the night, pulling 1.07 million and knocking-off Nine’s efforts that managed 979,000.

A Current Affair (810,000), Eat Well for Less? (532,000), Hot Seat (525,000) and The Truth About Obesity (302,000) was the story of Nine’s diet-centric night.

MasterChef aside, Shark Tank (622,000) and The Project (557,000) were Ten’s other two doers.

The ABC’s night ran thus: ABC News (730,000), 7:30 (479,000), Stargazing Live (463,000), The Checkout (321,000), Secrets Of Silicon Valley (265,000) and Think Tank (224,000).

Over at SBS, its best performer was again Who Do You Think You Are? that did reasonably well with 376,000.
