Tuesday TV Wrap: Barnsey Gives Denton A Jolt

Jimmy Barnes’ tell-all on Andrew Denton’s Interview last night gave the show its best numbers of the year, pulling 458,000 viewers last night according to overnight OzTAM numbers.

However, it wasn’t enough to stop Nine winning the night, The Voice (915,000) getting the broadcaster to 29.8 per cent of last night’s eyeballs.

Seven had to settle for 28 per cent, 10 had 18.5 per cent, the ABC did 15.1 per cent and SBS did 8.7 per cent.

When it came to the other entertainment shows, MasterChef outgunned House Rules by 611,000 to 544,000.

Seven’s 6pm news did 1.064 million to Nine’s 967,000, while ACA pulled 792,000.

10’s other standouts included: The Project (474,000), 10 News First (405,000) and Mr Black (304,000).

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (275,000) trumped Today (199,000).

The ABC’s evening ran thus: 7pm news (711,000), 7.30 (557,000) and The Recording Studio (322,000).

Best for SBS was Who Do You Think You Are? with 271,000.
