Tuesday TV Wrap: MAFS Sails To Miracle Highs

There’s no stopping the MAFS juggernaut at the moment after last night’s episode soared to a staggering 1.349 million according to OzTAM metro numbers. And, surely, another nail in the coffin of the FTA doubters.

MAFS put close to 450,000 viewers on the second most watched show of the night – Seven’s 6pm news bulletin (898,000).

Again, MKR’s numbers took a hit, Seven’s cook-off mustering-up 774,000.

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (273,000) twisted the screws on Today (188,000).

When it came to audience share, Nine romped it home with 36 per cent of last night’s eyeballs. Seven had 28.4 per cent, the ABC claimed third with 15.8 per cent, 10 was fourth and 13.8 per cent and SBS had a neat six per cent.

Other highlights for Nine included its 6pm news bulletin (880,000), ACA (859,000), Travel Guides (734,000) and Hot Seat (462,000).

For Seven, Home And Away (581,000), The Good Doctor (518,000) and The Chase (493,000) were its best performers.

The Project (429,000) was 10’s standout, followed by 10 News First (358,000), Hughesy We Have A Problem (261,000) and a repeat of Ambulance Australia (259,000).

The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (700,000), 7.30 (553,000), Foreign Correspondent (393,000) and Catalyst (332,000).

For SBS, its best was Michael Portillo’s Abandoned Britain with 223,000.
