Tuesday TV Wrap: Aussies Tune In To Andrew Denton’s ‘Interview’ Season 2 Premier Featuring Angry Anderson

Channel Seven was once again the big winner for Tuesday with Seven News, Today Tonight and My Kitchen Rules taking out the top three spots, continuing their reign of triumph.

Seven News bagged a hefty 1.84 million viewers, closely followed by their current affairs program Today Tonight with 1.57 million tuning in according to OzTam overnight metro numbers. Seven continued their winning streak with the My Kitchen Rules semi-final attracting 825,000 viewers.

Other highlights for the channel included Home And Away (685,000), The Chase Australia (597,000) and the season two premiere of Andrew Denton: Interview pulled in 538,000 viewers tuning in to watch the heart-wrenching interview with Angry Anderson.

Nine’s winners for the night were Nine News 6:30 with 931,000 viewers and Nine News closely following with 929,000 observers. The night continued with A Current Affair (753,000), The Big Bang Theory (544,000), Hot Seat (492,000) and a repeat of The Big Bang Theory attracting (455,000).

ABC pulled a hefty 692,000 with ABC News and 586,000 with their 7:30 news program. The Recording Studio also brought them an additional 416,000 viewers for the night.

Ten had an average night with Bachelor In Paradise bringing in an audience of 513,000 and The Project tallying 491,000.

Over on Foxtel, Game of Thrones recap reached 94,787 according to overnight OzTam numbers, Paul Murray Live was watched by 63,078, AFL Live saw 56,919 tune in, Family Guy drew 56,874 views, The Bolt Report received 56,369 views and NRL live was watched by 41,561.

With Seven nabbing the top three spots, its no surprise they won the overall share of viewers for Tuesday with 31.2 per cent share, followed by Nine with a respectable 27.3 per cent share. Foxtel was the third most-watched network overnight, followed by Ten (17.3 per cent), the ABC (16 per cent) and SBS pulling in a solid 8.3 per cent.
