Triple M To Debut Cricket Documentary “Vindalosers”

Triple M has announced it will air a new documentary on its digital assets tonight that takes a humorous, heart-warming and intriguing look at cricket in India.

The 30-minute doco, Vindalosers – How to Win in India, was created by Nikos Andronicos and Damien Timms from TippyTappySports, with the two men spending four weeks on the subcontinent trying to understand why Aussies don’t have a great cricket history on Indian soil, and what they need to do to make it right.

The doco includes tips from former Aussie Test cricketers Justin Langer and Dean Jones on how to succeed in India, as well as some advice from a man who, according to himself, is the greatest batting coach in India.

Andronicos and Timms even take matters into their own hands, playing cricket in a park, on the street and anywhere else they can get away with it, in an attempt to become the first Aussies to win in India since 2004-05.

Mike Fitzpatrick, head of Triple M, said the doco appeals to the sporting element of the radio network’s brand.

“It’s a golden age for long-form video content, and accessing premium content is a new way for us to engage with our digital audience,” he said.

The doco will be available to watch on Triple M’s website at 7pm tonight.
