Trailer For Tightrope Movie Is Making People Vomit

A trailer for a film about Philippe Petit’s famous balancing act between the Twin Towers The Walk is causing film-goers to vomit from vertigo.

This isn’t the first time Petit’s 1974 walk has been turned into a film, back in 2008 the Oscar-winning documentary, Man on Wire, used first-hand accounts and footage of the event.

The Walk director Robert Zemeckis has taken a different route, the film starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt uses 3D wizardry to take the viewer onto the wire with Petit as he walks between the two towers. The Twin Towers were 450 meters high.

Watch the trailer but be warned:

The director Zemeckis said in a press conference at the New York Film Festival that vomit is the intention.

The Walk hits cinemas 22nd October.
