Thursday TV Wrap: ‘Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries’ Has Quietish Debut, While Sunrise Soars

Seven’s new drama Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries got off to a quietish debut last night, mustering 463,000 viewers according to overnight OzTAm metro numbers.

Another interesting point out of yesterday’s numbers was Sunrise inching oh-so-close to the 300K mark, posting an impressive 299,000 yesterday morning. Today had to settle 204,000 and more headache tablets.

Thursday night has always proven a quieter night for the networks, and, with MKR and MAFS on hiatus, numbers were generally low across the board.

Seven’s 6pm news was the most watched show of the night with 884,000. 10 had a win with Gogglebox the most watched entertainment show, posting a reasonable 650,000.

Seven won Thursday with 31.5 per cent audience share. Nine posted 24.7 per cent, 10 had 18 per cent, the ABC pulled  17.8 per cent and SBS had a neat eight per cent.

Seven’s other highlights included Home And Away (577,000) and The Chase (495,000).

Over at Nine, its 6pm news did 655,000, ACA had 678,000, Young Sheldon pulled 471,000 and The Hot Seat 443,000.

For 10, The Project did 463,000 and 10 News First had 326,000.

The ABC’s night ran this way: 7pm news (655,000), 7.30 (555,000), Escape From The City (477,000) and Grand Designs Australia (352,000).
