Thursday TV Wrap: ‘Jamie’s Ultimate Veg’ Isn’t Exactly The Carrot 10 Was Hoping For

With many Australians looking for a healthier lifestyle, you’d reckon 10 was on a winner with Jamie Oliver’s new outing Jamie’s Ultimate Veg.

And on a slow Thursday night of TV, Ultimate Veg was certainly in the slow-cooker, posting just 293,000 last night according to OzTAM metro numbers.

10 did better with Gogglebox, but even then it posted a mere 556,000 and was the second most watched entertainment show behind Seven’s Home And Away (572,000).

Seven did nothing out of the ordinary but enjoyed a Thursday night win with 30.3 per cent of all the audience eyeballs (all channels). Nine did 25.8 per cent, 10 had 18.1 per cent, the ABC did 17.8 per cent and SBS pulled a neat eight.

Other highlights for Seven included its 6pm news (904,000), The Chase (512,000) and Bride And Prejudice: The Forbidden Weddings (416,000).

Vegetables aside, other highlights for 10 included The Project (397,000) and 10 News First (294,000).

Nine’s night went this way: 6pm news (746,000), ACA (667,000), RBT (531,000), Hot Seat (428,000) and Paramedics (326,000).

Over at the ABC, its doers included its 7pm news (603,000), 7.30 (480,000), Escape From The City (426,000) and a repeat of Vera (289,000).
