Thursday TV Wrap: ‘The Front Bar’ Enjoys Its Best Night Ever To Handball Seven The Win

Nine had a Block-free Thursday night and it was rival Seven that took full advantage of the fact.

Seven won Thursday night with a convincing 30.8 per cent audience share. Nine held on for second with 24.1 per cent, but had Ten nipping at its heels with 22.7 per cent. The ABC had 15.4 per cent and SBS took home a neat seven per cent.

Seven’s cause helped by its AFL comedy talk show The Front Bar which had its best night ever, pulling 383,000 last night.

Ten’s The Bachelor was the most watched entertainment show of the night with 869,000 viewers. Gogglebox also did well for Ten with 825,000, while The Project pulled 524,000.

Seven’s 6pm news was the most watched show of the night with 915,000. The network’s other highlights included Home And Away with 566,000 and The Chase with 520,000.

For Nine, its night ran thus: 6pm news (890,000), ACA (687,000), RBT (472,000), Driving Test (463,000) and Hot Seat (461,000).

Over at the ABC, its 7pm news bulletin was its best performer with 645,000. 7.30 had 536,000, Grand Designs Australia had 470,000 and Loch Ness pulled in 336,000.

For SBS, its best was a repeat of Tony Robinson Down Under that enjoyed 276,000 viewers.
