Some 389,000 viewers tuned in to the ABC yesterday for its annual coverage of the ANZAC Day march according to OzTAM metro numbers.

Still, it was exactly half the number that watched Seven’s annual AFL ANZAC Day game between Collingwood and Essendon. Some 779,000 watching the Pies win in a real nail-biter.

Seven won Thursday with 32.9 per cent audience share. Nine had 25per cent, 10 claimed 17.1 per cent, the ABC pulled 16 per cent and SBS had 9.1 per cent per cent.

Other highlights for Seven included its 6pm news (1.298 million), Home And Away (596,000), Modern Family (435,000), The Front Bar (428,000) and The Chase (378,000).

Nine’s best was its 6pm news with 894,000, ACA had 641,000 and its coverage of the Roosters-Dragons ANZAC Day NRL match had 298,000.

Best for 10 was The Project with 433,000, Bachelor In Paradise with 433,000 and 10 News First with 314,000.

The ABC’s evening ran thus: 7pm news (685,000), 7.30 (508,000) and Escape From The City (446,000).
