The AFR Mag Named Newspaper Inserted Mag Of The Year At Magazine Awards

Fairfax Media’s The Australian Financial Review Magazine was named Newspaper Inserted Magazine of the Year for the third consecutive year at the 2015 Australian Magazine Awards.

Judges cited: “Keeping true to its brand, The Australian Financial Review Magazine continues to grow and innovate. Its brand extensions and digital offerings put this title above the rest.”

The AFR Magazine’sreadership has grown 8per cent in the past year, underlining its appeal to high-end advertisers.

AFR Magazine editor Katrina Strickland said: “To win this award for three years running is a huge achievement for our dedicated and hard-working team.

“It affirms that The Australian Financial Review Magazine’s combination of style and substance is hitting the mark with readers and advertisers alike.”

The Australian Magazine Awards were established in 2009 to recognise magazines that perform at the highest level for publishers and advertisers. Winners were announced at The Ivy, Sydney, on November 13.

The win caps off a fantastic 20th anniversary year for the AFR Magazine. It celebrated in May with a bumper 92-page birthday special and an intimate dinner for its top advertisers, at which Foreign Affairs Minister Julie Bishop gave a keynote address.
