Ten Unveils First ‘The Bachelor’ Teaser (But Is The Winner Already Known?)

[Warning: This article includes spoiler alerts]

Hang on to yourselves, ladies, because Network Ten has released a teaser for its upcoming The Bachelor featuring model, man hunk and perennially unfortunate single, Matty J.

Ten is yet to announce a launch date for the 2017 series (expected in July) despite a number of spoilers already appearing in the media of unlucky lasses who didn’t score themselves a rose. You can read one of those spoilers here – but you have been warned!

There have also been reports a photographer was trying to sell photos to media outlets of the final two ladies in the competition which included a former member of the Australian women’s hockey team.

Check out Ten’s new trailer here.

This year’s show sees Matty J pick from 22 hopefuls, however, if media reports are right his final two suitors were photographed by a paparazzi photographer when the show was being filmed earlier in the year at an undisclosed resort in Thailand.

According to reports, the photographer was willing to sell the images and names of the final four contestants to the highest bidder. Ten, it had been reported, were scrambling to get hold of the images themselves.

There had been other media reports that two photographers had gear confiscated by the show’s producers when they ventured to close to the filming in Thailand.

Both Ten and the show’s producers, Warner Bros Television, have denied that any images have been leaked.

According to the release that followed today’s trailer, this year’s contestants looking to win Matty J’s heart include “a police officer, a body painter, a midwife and a criminal lawyer”.

Matty J added: “I think it’s hard to meet an amazing person. I’m glad I have this second chance. The only reason I am here is because I want to fall in love and The Bachelor Australia is going to be that new beginning.”

This year’s series will again be hosted Osher Günsberg who, the release said, will be “there to help calm his [Matty J’s] nerves and guide him along the way.”
