Sunday TV Wrap: Game Of Games Splutters, As The Block Dominates

Ten can’t appear to find a solution to its Sunday night schedule after Game Of Games again struggled last night.

The Grant Denyer hosted game show could only muster 416,000 viewers last night. Coincidentally, Ten’s The Sunday Project had the exact same numbers despite an appearance by harangued former Bachelor, Nick Cummins.

Once again, Ten had to settle for fourth position in last night’s viewer numbers. Nine won the night with 31.6 per cent, Seven had 29.1 per cent, the ABC took home 19.9 per cent, Ten had to settle with 13.8 per cent and SBS had 5.7 per cent.

The Block was the most watched show of Sunday, pulling an impressive 1.155 million viewers. Other highlights for Nine included its 6pm news (953,000), 60 Minutes (699,000) and Customs (240,000).

For Seven, its best was its 6pm news with 1.023 million. All Together Now – The 100 had 745,000, Sunday Night posted 603,000 and a repeat of Seven News Special: Anita Cobby had 361,000.

Over at the ABC, its night ran thus: 7pm news (754,000), Joanna Lumley’s Silk Road Adventure (662,000) and Pine Gap (581,000).

SBS’s best was a repeat of Italy’s Invisible Cities with 181,000.

    1. Why is Game of Games at 730? It would help my household immensely if it were at 6pm (please make it happen). It was actually good fun to watch, we just recorded week 1 and watched another day. 730 is when we are trying to get kids to bed – and they love this stuff (perhaps they can better relate to Denyer?). Just seems like a funny time!
