Sunday TV Wrap: MKR, The Voice & Bachelor In Paradise All Down As Viewer Fatigue Sets In

It appears a case of viewer fatigue for Sunday night telly watchers, as stalwart shows MKR, The Voice and Bachelor In Paradise all dipping from last week’s numbers.

Seven won Sunday night in a close battle with rival Nine. Seven took home 33.6 per cent audience share to Nine’s 31 per cent.

The ABC (14.9 per cent) again pushed Ten to fourth (13.6 per cent). The SBS managed 6.9 per cent.

MKR managed 1.29 million viewers last night but was down eight per cent from this time last year. Nine’s The Voice had 1.06 million but was down five per cent when compared to the same episode in 2017.

Seven’s 6pm news bulletin had a stellar evening with 1.23 million viewers and easily accounted for Nine’s offering that managed 1.03 million.

However, it was a different story with current affairs as Nine’s 60 Minutes (793,000) claiming bragging rights over Seven’s Sunday Night (747,000).

Over at Ten, Bachelor In Paradise (627,000) isn’t going backwards or forwards, while the erratic The Sunday Project pulled in 423,000.

The ABC had a reasonably quiet evening all-round, its best was its 7pm news bulletin with 693,000. Grand Designs pulled in 591,000, Midsomer Murders had 382,000 and a repeat of Hard Quiz managed 228,000. The SBS’s best was Celts with 209,000.
