Sunday TV Wrap: The Block Has Its Best Night All Year, As The ABC Gives Ten Another Tickle
Nine’s The Block keeps on going from strength to strength, enjoying its best night of the 2018 season last night.
The stalwart reno show pulled an impressive 1.29 million viewers and was the most watched show of the evening.
Its impressive numbers handed Nine a Sunday night win, the network bagging 33.8 per cent audience share. Seven had to settle with second and 29.3 per cent. Ten’s Sunday night woes continue, the network soundly beaten into fourth spot by the ABC, 17.5 per cent to 12.9 per cent, respectively. The SBS managed 6.5 per cent.
Ten’s woes compounded by the disappointing All Aussie Adventures that managed 513,000. The Sunday Project also had an off night with 372,000.
Seven’s 6pm news (1.18 million) won the battle of the news bulletins to Nine’s 1.05 million. However, 60 Minutes (714,000) got one up on rival Sunday Night (530,000).
Little Big Shots (864,000) was slightly down 20,000 on last week for Seven.
The ABC’s evening ran thus: 7pm news (735,000), Rake (573,000), Grand Designs (529,000), Vera (314,000) and a repeat of Catalyst (166,000).
SBS best was Treasures Decoded with just 227,000.
