Study: Salaries For Aussie Digital Advertising Jobs On The Rise As Talent Dwindles

A new report into the salaries of people employed in Australia’s digital advertising and adtech sector has found big dollars are on offer due to a shortage of qualified people.

The study by Singapore-based recruitment firm Ultimate Asset found that salaries for adtech jobs were comparable across the APAC region.

According to the results, CEOs of digital advertising businesses can command a pay cheque anywhere between $400,000 and $550,000 per annum in either Singapore or Australia.

Heads of departments, such as sales, accounts or trading, usually take home $150,000 to $250,000, while lower executive level roles for departments start from $40,000 and rise as high as $80,000.

Commenting on the study, Adam Furness, managing director APAC at RadiumOne, told The Drum: “In Australia, there is a talent shortage of Australian residents at the high-end for leadership and technically skilled roles – there is also less desire to go through the Visa process. These combining forces result in more demand for Australian talent and increased salaries.”
