SMI And IPG Mediabrands End Partnership

IPG Mediabrands and Standard Media Index have announced the dissolution of their data sharing partnership today.

IPG Mediabrands advised SMI of its decision to withdraw from the data-sharing partnership in February.

SMI and IPG Mediabrands said that the timing of the decision to withdraw from the business arrangement related to conversations about the global relationship between the two parties.

In light of the Mediabrands withdrawal, the Group’s data – including its historic data – will be removed from the SMI AU pool from the next data release on April 15. FCB, which is IPG’s partner Agency in NZ, will remain in SMI’s NZ ad spend pool.

B&T contacted IPG Mediabrands for comment.
