Shopper Media Group Creates New Business Development Role

Shopper Media Group today has appointed Laura Wall to the newly created position of business development director.

The role has been designed to capitalise on the company’s rapid acquisition of shopping centre clients and demand for market-leading retail DOOH.

Laura Wall (featured image) is returning to the business after 12 months’ maternity leave to take up the new role, which will focus on fostering client relationships and developing the programmatic side of the business.

Shopper Media Group CEO, Ben Walker said: “Ms Wall’s’ intimate knowledge of the company means she is perfectly positioned to drive this new growth opportunity in the business.

“As a company we are focused on innovation and that means investing in market-leading technology in retail DOOH and developing offerings that support brands and agencies in the ever-changing media climate.”

Walker added: “We have identified that a programmatic element needs to be part of our overall offering as it brings additional efficiencies to our buyers and direct clients.”

Shopper Media Group has been disrupting Australia’s established DOOH advertising market with its intelligent Smartlite panel technology that is at the forefront of worldwide geospatial Wi-Fi analytics.

It currently boasts a portfolio of more than 300 shopping centres, reaching more than 7.3 million Australian shoppers per fortnight.

Wall commented: “I’m very excited to be back working with our direct clients and to be spearheading the development of our programmatic features.

“This will really complement our world-class offering in the retail DOOH space.”
