SCA Launches Regional Digital Initiative #ThisIsLocal With OMD And Vita

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) is putting more emphasis on the digital market in regional Australia with the launch of a new campaign called #ThisIsLocal.

The campaign – in collaboration with media agency OMD Brisbane and comms and electronics provider Vita – aims to create more local digital content for regional areas produced, and will be within SCA’s radio station websites.

OMD is pretty keen to work on the partnership, with Greg Radford, general manager and head of digital, saying the campaign will help “generate strong regional awareness for Vita via both digital activity and social integration” across SCA’s regional properties.

Vijay Solanki, SCA’s chief digital enablement officer, added: “It’s great to see a concept grow from an idea to pilot and now roll-out.  It demonstrates both our connected digital and content thinking as well as our ability to deliver entertainment and information to a large proportion of regional Australia.

“This winning concept came from our regional team who identified an opportunity for a new digital portal full of localcontent. It’s great to be able to partner with Vita on the roll-out of this program.”
