Salmat Extends Digital Expertise With Senior Hire And Google Accreditation

Leading Australian marketing services business Salmat today announced the appointment of Andrew Lane as the new head of search, strengthening Salmat’s expertise in bolstering clients’ online marketing activities. Salmat also announced a new certification from Google linked to its activities, achieving the Google ‘Premier Partner’ status.

Salmat chief operating officer – digital,  Ian Harris, said the investment demonstrated the importance of digital in clients’ marketing mix and would help drive further growth in Salmat’s digital business following the recent completion of the purchase of e-commerce experts Netstarter.

“Andrew joins us with significant digital experience and will oversee all activities related to digital and performance marketing to help our clients amplify and optimize their online visibility and grow their revenues.  As an expert in this field, he will work to ensure best practice in the development of effective strategies and smart campaigns, and be on the cutting edge of industry updates and changes.  Andrew has the experience and know how to lead the charge and inspire the team. We’re excited to welcome him,” said Harris. 

Andrew has twelve years of experience in handling online marketing and sales strategies, first in the telecom industry, at Vodafone and O2 UK, and then Vodafone Hutchinson Australia where he lead the Digital and Direct Sales & Marketing Team. He has spent the last few years heading up a successful digital agency in Queensland.

“I’m excited to be joining Salmat as the business continues to strengthen its marketing services offer, particularly in the digital space. I’ve worked with some exciting brands, both in house and on the agency side, and I look forward to working with Salmat’s existing and new clients to help them drive their digital strategies to reach, convert and serve their customers,” said Lane.

Salmat also recently achieved the Google ‘Premier Partner’ status by meeting Google’s highest standards and criteria for qualification transparency and customer service. Google launched the Premier Partner Program last year to recognise agencies which follow best practices and deliver excellence to businesses advertising with their products such as Search, Video & Display. The program connects Google’s trusted and experienced marketing partners with businesses seeking experts to create, manage and optimise their digital marketing.
