Sacked Ten Executive Calls In The Lawyers To Take On Network

The recently sacked executive producer of Channel Ten’s morning program, Studio 10, is taking legal action against the TV network for breach of contract.

Rob McKnight (pictured above) broke the news of his sacking last month via an emotional post on his Facebook page.

“I almost worked myself to death for the show and pretty much had a breakdown recently (and those who know me know I’m a pretty strong character, so it shows I really was pushed beyond the limits),” he wrote.

“But I am not bitter. I was given a great opportunity and I wish everyone that works on Studio 10 all the very best.”

There was no explanation for McKnight’s departure, but there had been reports of tensions between him and Studio 10 on-air personalities.

According to The Australian, McKnight’s lawyer wrote to Ten late last month threatening further legal action unless the network honours the ex-Studio 10 EP’s employment contract and pay 13 weeks of his salary.
