Sacked Radio Host Sam Frost All Set For Acting Debut On Home And Away

Perennial media wannabe Sam Frost has apparently found a new role, pulling on the bikini, heading to Summer Bay and set to star in Seven’s ageless soapie Home And Away.

The former Bachelor, Bachelorette and 2DayFM radio host apparently has no formal acting training but then again that’s arguably never been an impediment to Summer Bay stardom.

Frost actually began her working life as a finance account manager.

The 28-year-old was axed from her Southern Cross Austereo role, where she co-hosted an evening show with Rove McManus, at the end of June. The duo’s breakfast show had proven a ratings disaster and was panned back in January before they were moved to the evening time slot.

Home and Away is a show I grew up watching with my family,” Frost said of her new career move. “To become part of this iconic television show is a real honour, I can’t wait to start shooting.”

Julie McGauran, Seven’s head of drama said: “Sam exudes a genuine warmth and kindness. Her natural ease in front of the camera makes her a wonderful addition to the Home and Away family.”

Apparently, Frost is set to appear on Seven’s Hell’s Kitchen and it was during the filming for that she was asked to audition for the beachside soapie.

Although Frost joins the Home And Away cast next month she’s not expected on TV screens until early next year.
