Reports: Nine Set To Reprise Shaun Micallef’s Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation

Rumours of a reprise of the Channel Ten hit Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation continue to gather pace, however, it appears it’ll have a new home if and when the show does air.

The hit show – hosted by Shaun Micallef – hasn’t aired for over five years, however, industry site TV Tonight has reported today that Channel Nine has snared the rights and the production company ITV Studios Australia has been commissioned for a short six-part series.

It’s understood that Micallef has been recruited to once again host the show, however, it’s not clear if the original team captains – Amanda Keller, Charlie Pickering and Josh Thomas – are set to be involved.

Keller’s appearance would be doubly difficult considering she now hosts The Living Room on rival Ten.

The original series ran on Ten from 2009-2012 and regularly enjoyed TV audiences upwards of 1.75 million viewers, which, if it ran today would make it easily one of the highest rating entertainment shows on TV.

It went on to win three Logies, including two for most popular light entertainment, while host Shaun Micallef won the 2010 Logie for most popular presenter.
