Redundancies Expected As Dentsu Aegis Confirms Amplifi Closure

Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) continues to consolidate its local arm, today announcing that its set to shut its media innovation and investment arm, Amplifi.

B&T has reached out for DAN for comment and news of possible redundancies with a spokesperson confirming that the Amplifi business and staff were to be absorbed back into its existing media businesses of Carat, dentsu X and Vizeum.

The latest closure comes amid a number of recent redundancies and business losses at the agency and a restructuring program initiated by newly appointed CEO, Henry Tajer, who took the top job at the start of the year after the shock resignation of incumbent Simon Ryan who quit the role a month previous to become commercial managing director at Carsales.com.
