Publicis CEO Arthur Sadoun Confirms Nick Law’s Move To Apple

Yesterday, B&T reported that Publicis’ chief creative officer Nick Law was leaving the holding group for Apple.

Today, Publicis CEO Arthur Sadoun has confirmed the move in a letter to staff.

Sadoun confirmed Law will be leaving Publicis in September to join Apple for a “once in a lifetime opportunity”.

He acknowledged Law’s major contributions to the company, including bolstering its creative and strategic bench and for giving Publicis a “vision and ambition for modern creativity.”

On his impending move, Law said in a note to staff the decision to leave was not easy.

He said: “This was a very hard decision for me.

“Not only have I enjoyed my time at Publicis, I’ve been energized by the ambition and relentless transformation of the Groupe.

“Publicis has the right plan, right model and the right people to solve the big challenges clients are facing.

“I wish I could continue to be a part of the journey—but the once in a lifetime opportunity to work with a brand I’ve admired my whole life was too good to ignore.”

It is unclear whether Publicis will fill Law’s position after he leaves, while his new title at Apple is yet to be revealed.

Law’s departure follows the appointment of Liz Taylor as creative lead for Publicis Communications North America and CCO of Leo Burnett Worldwide.
