The Projects* Appoints New Managing Director From Telstra

Influencer agency the projects* today announces the appointment of Matt McCann (pictured above on the right), the former GM of Media & Sport at Telstra, as the new managing director for the projects* in Australia.

McCann has a distinctive career with 12 years in media agencies across FMCG, Finance, Telco and Government before running one of Australia’s largest media budgets and sponsorship portfolios at Telstra. Matt will be managing the projects* Sydney team, overseeing the Content, Strategy, Creative, Account Service and Production departments.

Simon Philby (pictured above on the left), co-founder at the projects* said: “Our business has doubled in size both here in Oz and in the US over the last 12 months, and that’s largely down to the caliber of people we have been able to attract. It’s brilliant signing Matt who has an exceptional pedigree and most importantly shares our creative & cultural lense on the world. Matt is perfectly placed to drive our future growth”.

The projects* was founded in Australia seven years ago, and launched in the United States three years ago, with European expansion planned for 2016. Current clients include: ABSOLUT Vodka, Bauer Media, Chivas Regal, Electronic Arts, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Mercedes-Benz, P&G, Perrier-Jouët, Samsung, Westfield, V Energy and Vanity Fair.
