Paper Moose Teams Up With Disney Junior For New Animated Kid’s Series

In collaboration with Paper Moose, the 26-part animated short-series follows the enchanting and colourful characters of Alphabet Street, as they live, learn, dance and discover their morning routines.

From Adam the Armadillo, to Zali the Zebra, each of the 26 characters has their own unique morning routine to share and encourage good habits to kick starts kids day.

The series is aimed at preschoolers and celebrates what makes us different.

Narrated by Charlotte Meldrum-Hanna, the series also stars’ young Aussie voice talent, Gilbert, Mariah, Jerra, Isabella, Niamh, Fletcher and Mikayla – as our cute and captivating animal friends.

Alphabet Street is illustrated by children’s book illustrator, Dinalie Dabarera (The Cat with the Coloured Tail), who also serves as art director.

The series also features original music including an Alphabet Street song by composer, Steve Peach.

“We’re so excited to be collaborating with Paper Moose on our new animated short series, Alphabet Street. Kids across Australia and New Zealand love waking up with Disney Junior, and to be able to bring such a diverse and fun range of characters to life to entertain and tell stories is all a part of the magic that is Disney,” said Disney’s director of content Pete Noble.

“Being a maker’s agency, we love to get involved in a range of projects, and this was certainly an all-in effort. Written and produced in house, we couldn’t be prouder. It’s great to make something specially for Aussie kids, and to attempt to break all previous records of cute.” said Paper Moose ECD Nick Hunter.

It’s the second time Disney Junior has worked with Paper Moose, following a successful collaboration on the Disney Junior series, The Book of Once Upon a Time Season 4, which aired in March earlier this year.

Sitting across the cusp of production and advertising, Paper Moose works to a nontraditional model, allowing it freedom to create original work. The series reflects a move towards more entertainment projects within its staple.

Alphabet Street airs 8am Monday, 30 September on Disney Junior and continues weekdays at 8am.
